Muraqaba Meditation. Waiting for Allah’s mercy.

Muraqaba is a meditation that entails waiting in earnest for the mercy of Allah to descend upon the heart. During Muraqaba the rain of Allah’s mercy descends upon the heart. The heart peacefully calls out Allah, Allah, Allah.

The human heart is situated at a distance of approximately two fingers width below the left breast. Whilst waiting for Allah’s mercy one should focus one’s attention on this specific spot. Moreover, one should visualise through the mind’s eye as though the spiritual heart has formed an opening on that spot and that Allah’s Noor (radiance and light) and His Rahmah (mercy) is permeating through the darkness of the heart thus illuminating it. Think as though this light is cleansing the heart of all the filth of sin and the heart is echoing the name of “ALLAH” in sincere gratitude.

Shaykh Dawani RA has related that he heard from some of the Mashaaikh of Hadith that Surely Dua is accepted when the names of the Sahaba of Badr are mentioned. And Mujarraab and others RA have mentioned that many of the Awliya did not attain wilayat (sainthood) except by reciting these names and using them as a Waseela (a means of intercession with Allah)

The reciting of these blessed names of the Badriyeen Sahabah Radiallahu Anhum Badr Names Short brings barakah from Allah. Through its recitation closeness to Allah, Rasulullah sallallahi alayhi wasallam and the Sahabah Radiallahu Anhum is attained, needs are fulfilled and difficulties are removed.

Begin with Bismillah and Salawaat then recite the mubarak names with the intention of Waseela, seeking the intercession of Allah. Preferably read the duas at the end or make your own dua with the intention of closeness to Allah, Love for  Rasulullah sallallahi alayhi wasallam and the Sahabah Radiallahu Anhum and for all your needs to be fulfilled and difficulties to be removed. This can be recited at any time when our Deeni or Dunya situations become difficult in our lives
